Flat roof specification
Inspect the flat roof covering and remove if required (it is sometimes possible to overlay a flat roof depending on the surface and condition of original covering).
Check decking boards for rot. If found, replace at a cost of £30 per metre. In most cases we will be able to give an indication of decking condition before work begins.
If replacement is necessary we will use ¾” OSB Smartply boards fixed with 3″ nails
Two layers of 2mm underlay felt are heated into position in opposite directions for maximum strength and protection.
A 4mm green mineral capping felt is heated into position with all edges seam rolled.
Finally, fix on all drip edges and up stands to the perimeter of the roof, and seam roll into position.
